Every day, I hear women ask the same question: “What should I eat?” or “Why do I feel hungry all the time, even when I’m trying to eat healthy?” If that sounds like you, you’re not alone. Many women in perimenopause struggle with constant cravings, low energy, and unpredictable hunger and it’s not because you lack willpower. It’s because your meals aren’t structured in a way that supports your metabolism and balances your blood sugar.

I can help you fix that.

When your meals are balanced, meaning they include the right combination of protein, fiber, healthy fats, and vegetables your body stays fueled, satisfied, and calm. But when you skip meals, eat too little protein, or rely on quick carbs to get through the day, your blood sugar spikes and crashes. That rollercoaster is what triggers cravings, mood swings, and fatigue. It’s also what tells your body to store fat instead of burn it.

Your metabolism thrives on consistency. When you eat regularly and include all the key macronutrients, you send your body a message: you are safe, nourished, and supported. That’s when your hormones begin to stabilize, cravings fade, and energy returns. But when you under-eat or skip meals, especially breakfast, your cortisol rises and blood sugar drops. That combination leaves you stressed, hungry, and reaching for sugar by mid-afternoon.

Let’s talk about what a balanced meal really looks like. The simple formula I teach my clients is this: Protein + Fiber + Healthy Fats + Colorful Vegetables. When you build meals this way, you’re not only supporting your metabolism but also regulating your appetite naturally.
